Hi everyone. Welcome to meditating in God's Word podcast. I am your host, Dharavi rows of Dharavi Rose dot com. Thank you for joining me today. We are in the exodus book, we are in lesson five. And the name of this lesson is plagues five through nine and it is found in exodus nine and 10. So in this lesson, we have moses continuing to go back and forth to ask pharaoh to free the Children of Israel. Now you thought that the first four plagues were bad enough, right?

No, they were not bad enough for pharaoh too, Release the Children of Israel. They needed more. Egypt needed more plagues. The 5th plague in this lesson was the death of the livestock. I believe. That's pretty devastating to have your animals and your transportation die. It's a big deal. But you know what? It wasn't a big enough deal for pharaoh to say, you know what? You guys can go ahead and leave and mean it after you had the death of the livestock, Aaron and moses took suit and threw it in the air by God's command and caused festering boils on the people and on the animals. Oh my goodness, I can't imagine. And the seventh plague was hail and thunder and you know, I thought about this because I love a good thunderstorm.

But I definitely would not want it to have been in this particular plague because it was Probably way different than what I would imagine as a soothing thunderstorm. The 8th plague was locust and locus came and they ate everything that the hell left behind. So you're talking about just total destruction annihilation God is sending these plagues and they are literally just tearing up the land of Egypt like plague after plague after plague. And then the last plague in this lesson, which was plague # nine was darkness and it wasn't just the type of darkness. Um that's always dark outside. No, no, no, no, no. This was darkness that it had like a element to it. It was so dark. It was it was thickness to this darkness and the Egyptians had to be in their homes for three days.

That's how dark it was, God created light. But at this particular moment he allowed darkness to consume the land of Egypt for three days. So much so that they couldn't even go anywhere. They were stuck in the house. So let me give you just a little bit of commentary. The physical state of Egypt was in ruins as described in Exodus 10 and seven. They were currently going into plague eight as the locals were being introduced pharaoh's servants tried to convince pharaoh to allow only the men to go and serve the Lord moses graciously informed pharaoh that everyone must go. They thought that they were going to keep the women and Children? How selfish of them. Now for the questions, what was the name of the land where the Children of Israel resided and what was intertwined with the hell? Because it wasn't just regular playing hail.

There was a mixture of hail and something else. So I want you to answer those questions. Chapter and verse. You can always reach out to me on social media.
