Yeah, mm No. Hi everyone. Welcome to another episode of meditating In God's Word. I am your host Darby rows of Darby Rose dot com. Um, I hope you are having a great day. Are you ready for an abbreviated bible study lesson because I'm ready to share with you guys. So today we're starting a brand new book. We are in exodus. And exodus is going to tell us some wonderful, wonderful narratives and even some genealogies as well. And so let's dive into this lesson. This is less than one.

Um, the name of this lesson is large in number. I want to do a little bit of summary of course, some commentary and some questions. So this story is about moses how he came to be and um we're coming off the back of genesis and so now there is a pharaoh in place that knows nothing of joseph and what he did and the Children of Israel are now kind of um, they're in bondage, they are in bondage because they were just growing and multiplying and number and pharaoh didn't like it. He didn't like that. They were so large in number because he was insecure barrel put a law into practice that all Israel and Hebrew boys should be killed. All newborn sons should be killed and moses. His mother had this insight.

Two do something different with her child. She actually made him a basket and she put him in the river after hiding him from wild pharaoh's daughter was taking a bath. She's seen moses. She pulled him out of the river and actually brought him into her house and raised him as her own son. So this is a phenomenal narrative. You have to read it for yourself. It's found in exodus one into of course is um the name of this narrative in my bible study series is called large in numbers. Now let me give you a little bit of commentary. Not much was spoken about moses mother, but from the scriptures, I can infer that she had insight and the fortitude to make her child a survivor. While the other mothers were listening to the orders from pharaoh, she chose to do something different. It resulted in her earning an income to breastfeed her own child.

This was brilliant. That's how God allows all things to come full circle and then puts a bonus on it. So let me give you a couple of questions. The first question is, what did the Children of Israel build for pharaoh? And the second question is what reasons did the midwives give pharaoh for their disobedience. Um um, enjoy the word of God. It is powerful and I hope you create time to meditate in his word because it will never lead you astray. Um and I say that with confidence. So create time to read this. This is in exodus.
