Yeah mm no. Hello and welcome to this edition of meditating in God's Word podcast. I'm your host Dara. The rows of Dorothy Rose dot com. Thank you so much for joining me For this abbreviated Bible Lesson. We are in the blue book, this is the last lesson in the blue book. We are done with genesis after this lesson that this is lesson 40 right there and we are talking about Jacobs burial and joseph's death And this lesson is found in Genesis 50, I hope you guys will read your bible to get the full picture to get understanding and insight from God.

Um because he's the only one that can give you mind blowing insight and he can just knock your socks off with his word. So this is the story of joseph going to um barry and mourn his father, Jacob Israel after joseph goes and he buries his dad Israel. He um he first of all, he asked for permission from pharaoh of course there's a chain of command. This protocol, he asked if that's okay if he can go and bury him in Canaan and he said of course go ahead bury him. So he went and he buried him and he took a time of mourning for his dad. Um and all of that. Then when joseph came back and things were kind of getting back to normal, joseph's brothers came to him and we're a little worried because they thought that joseph would not take care of them anymore and that he actually maybe had some kind of residual anger or hurt um from him being sold as a slave.

And he thought the brothers thought that they would be treated poorly or they wouldn't be provided for anymore because the dad was what had passed. But joseph said, no, no, no. Listen, I know you guys meant this for evil, you know, selling me to the Ishmael lights and um meet ended up in Egypt. I know you meant it for evil, but God turned it around for good, so that these people in this land could be saved. So there was a lot going on in this story. I'm going to give you some commentary and then we're gonna do some questions and we're gonna close. But I hope that you go and read this narrative because it's so important that we understand the word of God and the people in this story. Can you imagine having joseph's dream and the fact that it might have been fading when he was riding away from his brothers after they sold him or when he was sitting in prison after he respected part of his wife or after he gave the interpretation for the men who were in prison, There are so many times that joseph's dream did not look like it had life, but he never gave up, joseph had great patience and humility to arrive at his destiny.

God bless joseph to see his third generation of Efron's Children. What a great blessing that was to have a long life and to see so many generations joseph's reward was great. He took care of his entire family and nation by God's wisdom and favor. Let me give you a few questions. Who was with joseph when he went up to bury his father? How old was joseph when he died? So if you're answering those questions, don't forget that there is a chapter and verse that's associated to each question. And so this lesson again is less than 40 Jacobs, burial and Joseph's death.
