Hello and welcome to another meditated in God's Word podcast. I am your host Darby rows of dharavi Rose dot com. Thank you for joining me today for this abbreviated bible lesson. I'm so glad to share this Lesson with you. And this narrative with you, the name of this lesson is dreams and interpretations. It is found in Genesis 40 through 41. This is less than 34. Um so let me just share a brief summary with you, followed by some commentary and some questions. This story is the story of joseph. Joseph was a gifted dreamer and now he would show the gifts of interpretation as well.

Joseph was still in jail and there were two men that were brought to jail, it was the Butler and the baker and they both had dreams and they didn't know what they meant and they asked joseph for an interpretation and joseph was very clear about something that his interpretations came from God. He didn't just make them up. He didn't go look for them in some book, but they came from God. Um He gave them interpretations on both their dreams and both their dreams came out just like joseph said, the person that was released back into the King's house. He forgot about joseph when it was time for joseph said remember me the Butler did not remember joseph until pharaoh had a dream and he didn't have any interpretation. Then joseph was remembered and they got joseph out of jail and they cleaned him up and joseph made it clear once again that God gives the interpretation for the dreams.

After he interpreted uh joseph gave his suggestions on what to do. The king suggested that joseph oversee the storage of the food that they were supposed to store and save. And that was a bigger responsibility than he had before he went in jail. So he was 2nd in command. And it was a blessing just to be in that position. And for joseph to be used in such a mighty way by God. So let me give you some commentary and then a few questions noticed, joseph never complained about why it took the Butler so long to remember. They went and got joseph and cleaned him up and presented him to the king and he told barrel, God will give pharaoh an answer of peace after joseph gave his interpretation from God. He suggested that barrel take swift action to prevent future widespread desolation in Egypt, joseph didn't boast or declare himself great, How much more glory would God get if people were more like joseph humbling themselves and giving God all the credit.

Let me give you a few questions, summarize the dreams of the Butler and the baker and the second question is what was pharaoh's first dream about. I always request that you put chapter and verse to go along with those answers. So you can know where you received your answer in the Bible. It's very important that you know the word of God and what it says specifically and where it says that. So I hope you have enjoyed this abbreviated lesson. That's going to wrap it up.
