Welcome to meditating in God's Word podcast. I am your host Dora. The rows of Dorothy Rose dot com. Thank you for joining us today for this abbreviated bible lesson. We are in the Pink book. This is book three of book four in the genesis meditating in God's Word bible study series. We are going to do less than 29 today. The name of this lesson is revenge of the brothers. It is found in Genesis 30 for I'm going to give you a summary some commentary and then a few questions that you can discover God's word on your own. So one day Dina Jacob's daughter with leah went out to the land scheppach hm The son of a more prince check um violated her.

Jacob and his sons discovered what happened to Dina. The sons were furious chef job and his father king home or approached Jacob about marrying Dina hey more and Chechen proposed a plan for Jacob's family to live among their people. Levi and Simeon agreed on the basis that all the men of the city would be circumcised, Shut them agreed that everyone would get circumcised. Levi and Simeon went through the city and killed all the males while they were still in pain, wow, I can't tell you what this story meant to me. Um it was such an interesting story. It was such an interesting read. It's so deep, so many different dynamics within this story and you have to read the full bible text to really understand what's going on.

Let me give you a little bit of commentary after Prince check um violated Dina King Hey more talked with Jacob, he wanted Jacob to give Dina to his son, his son checksum in marriage. Qinghai more wanted Jacob and his family to intermarry with their people of the land. Dina's brother heard the news about Chechen wanting Dina as his wife, Levi and Simeon were enraged. They knew that their sister had been violated and the brothers dealt with their own way. And I can't tell you how they dealt with it. You must read the scripture Genesis 34. And let me give you a few questions how many days did Levi and Simeon wait to fulfill their plans. That's the first question. How did Jacob react to what Levi and Simeon did.

Chapter and verse. It's in the scriptures. Uh please read it and you will be able to find some jewels, some nuggets in the scripture. Um that's going to wrap it up for this lesson. You must read genesis 30 for the name of this lesson again was revenge of the brothers. This lesson is found in the pink book and I really want you to create some time to meditate in God's word today because as long as you have breath in your body, it's never too late to bring God into your life.
