Description

In today's bonus episode Clifton celebrates 22 years in ministry with a conversation about his personal evolution within ministry and life. This is the audio from the video that he released to ... More

when we pray, we say father, we're going to be used by God, we say father in the name of jesus, I come before you right now as humble. Some of us say humble, some of us a humble but humble is a step beyond humility baby. When you take that h out of it you are allowing yourself to submit to the creator more than I'm playing Lord. I come as humble or stumble as I know how I'm praying now that I will decrease that you may increase that the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight. You know the prayer we pray but I want to hit that. I may decrease that you may increase now here's what some of you may not agree with me. Hey listen, if it don't fit, you must acquit that means you can just move on the same for you. We have taken that as a literal translation so what we have done is shrunk ourselves back, waiting for something to step in that really is wrapped in our personality.

You want to see effective ministry start saying Lord use me all of me, all of me mhm Yeah, many people define stagnation as not producing or being at a standstill I get it. However, I would like to add a little weight to the definition and say that I may be producing, I may be moving however, my production and my movements are disrespectful to the purpose that's inside of me to the greatness that's inside of me if that's going on that stagnation as well and that's okay, guess why? Because I have developed a tool. I wrote a book called from stagnation and transformation and that book was written specifically for individuals that feel stuck, that feel lost, that feel like they're just wandering in the wilderness.

They feel like they just need something, it's just missing. It's okay. I want you to hit over to www dot clinton Pettijohn dot com forward slash transformation there. You're gonna find a complimentary portion of the book. That's right. A complimentary portion of the book. I want you to read that portion After that. It's gonna ignite such a fire inside of you that you're gonna want to purchase, the your personal copy of from stagnation of transformation. So I want you to do that as well. Why? Because I believe that it will give you a 21 day jump start to fulfilling or re identifying purpose and whatever core area you find yourself stagnant in. So again, visit www dot clinton Pettijohn dot com forward slash transformation. What's up everybody you are listening to the what now podcast where we discuss ways of effectively addressing life's most difficult moments.

Yeah. Hey, what's up everybody? Listen, This is a pre recorded video but I want to welcome you to the transformation center. That's right. The transformation center where we transform lives through conversation. Your conversation is so powerful and we help you reconnect with your more than meets the eye, sometimes we don't value our more than meets the eye, but we are here to help you reconnect with your more than meets the eye here. The transformation center. We want you to understand you are welcome, you are wanted and you are worthy. All right. I'm on here tonight. This pre recording, we have been talking about freedom all month and I don't know about you guys, But you know, I went back up a little bit because today is March 31st. I'm not recording this on March 31, but I'm posting this on March 31. March 31st is one of the most significant days of my life.

March 31st is a day that I stopped running. Even though I attempted to run on that day to March 31st is the day that I yielded and said yes to the will of God In my life. Um, March 31 is a day that pulled me out of my comfort zone. On March 31 is a day where I probably was scared Beyond belief. March 31 was a day where I experienced freedom and a new dimension. All right. So, March 31, I stood behind a pulpit for the first time and I opened up my mouth and I begin to express the word of God. I did it in fear. And as some of you have heard me say, I sucked, I mean, I sucked to the greatest capacity now. On that day. I remember I got up there, I had notes, so I believe it or not, I used to teach straight from those, but I had notes and I'm getting up there and I'm trying to make sure I read all my notes and all of those things and I remember I ended up leaving my notes and just started talking and as I begin to start talking, I thought that I was not making any sense and I remember sitting down like, yo yeah, you don't have to ever worry about them asking you to do this again.

But I remember my Apostle got up and he said uh what you did today was tap into the prophetic mind of this ministry and I never forget those words, I'll never forget that day, because to me, I still don't know what I did that day, but it was the beginning of a journey and through that journey, as I was trying to discover who I was, I used that word, that I suck because I did. But the reality was, I just didn't know who I was, I really did not know who I was. So I was learning on the job and I remember I would do different techniques as I was learning attempting to bring forth messages. And I remember just trying to discover and find myself and I couldn't seem to really discover and find myself and each time that I would get up there and minister the word of God.

I didn't like it. I didn't like it? And I didn't like it because I didn't sound like this person. I wasn't a preachy preacher, I'm a teacher by nature. Uh, I do get excited. Um, probably more excited now than I did back then because I really wasn't comfortable in who I am. I did not, y'all know how I play and joke. Now. I did not playing joke. It was very serious. It was very serious. Like all the time. I, I just sit back and I think about that and I really think a possible and pastor uh, flowers for pushing me for pushing me and giving me that foundation uh, in ministry and pushing me to study man. This, I one thing that I took from, I took a lot of things from the flowers, but one of the things I took from Apostle flowers was the, the amount of study that he puts in the dedication that he will put towards that end, towards his personal relationship with God. But today is just one of those days for me that I love to celebrate because number one, I didn't see myself past 1999 I didn't see myself about past 1998 99, You know, it wasn't until I got in my later twenties that I started to see myself a little further Beyond.

But I thank God for every lesson that I learned was how many years has that been your has that been I wrote it down early 22 years now, granted ministry now looks nothing like what ministry looked like back then to me. But I'll say this, I remember times where I felt as if I wasn't called because I understood that ministry, how I knew it and how everybody else presented. It was not the way that the creator was giving it to me. Now. I didn't call it that at that time, because it wasn't making sense at all. It just was not making sense. And it didn't seem to fit into the world that I was in, that didn't fit into the world that I was in. But the reality was I wasn't meant to make it fit into that world, that world was training ground for me and some of you right now, you're you're struggling with what God has called design and created you to do because you're in your training ground and you think that your training ground is the end of that destination.

That's the end of that destination. My encouragement is that you don't stop dreaming, don't stop hearing God, everything that God gives to you, Everything that spirit downloads into you, Everything that that embodies who you are. Don't you dare give up on that, don't you dare give up on it. And if you have given up on it. It's okay, guess what? Today? We're not gonna give up on it anymore. It does not look like what everybody else is doing. It does not sound like what everybody else is doing. We don't need another look at another sound. That's the same. We need you, we need your uniqueness. We need your individuality, we need your gift, your call your purpose your design, We need your personality. One of the greatest things that that ministry has taught me over the years is stop excluding your personality from what you've been called and designed to do. And that's why I play a lot now and a lot of people can't take my play. But I'm honest with you, my playing has caused me to connect with people that may have been afraid to communicate with me before or may not have wanted to communicate with me before or thought they weren't worthy enough to communicate with me before.

So if you had that playful nature, find a way to develop that within your ministry as well. Why? Because people need that healing and and and breakthroughs and miracles can happen through laughter and I'll be honest with you with the pandemic we have going on, I said, I'm gonna be honest with you a lot like I'm lying up here. Uh but with the pandemic going on and the cares of life in and up of themselves. We all need a little extra laughter in our lives. So don't you be afraid to show you within your ministering one of the things that, that that and I'm gonna say this and some of you may not agree, I get it and I understand I heard a gentleman say this years ago and at first I was so upset that he said it. But then as time went on and I grew and I started thinking about it more. I begin to adapt this myself. When we pray, we say father, we're going to be used by God, we say father in the name of jesus, I come before you right now as humble.

Some of us say humble, some of us say humble but humble is a step beyond humility baby. When you take that a child of it, you are allowing yourself to submit to the creator more than I'm playing Lord. I come as humble or stumble as I know how I'm praying now that I will decrease that you may increase that the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in that site. You know the prayer we pray but I want to hit that, I may decrease that, you may increase. Now here's what some of you may not agree with me. Hey listen, if it don't fit, you must acquit that means you can just move on. This ain't for you. We have taken that as a literal translation so what we have done is shrunk ourselves back waiting for something to step in that really is wrapped in our personality. You want to see effective ministry start saying Lord use me all of me, all of me because all of me, he loves all of you love your curves and know your edges.

Sorry, I just and so just popped in my head. I know you all want to sign me today. God has not called me to sing anyway, allow yourself to be within that thing. Why? Yeah. Mhm. Mhm. I know some of you are going to agree with that. Like I said, hey to each their own baby. But here the transformation transformation center. I that's what I teach because that's what I believe baby. We're not decreasing. We're increasing. The problem is that we have decreased our value. We have dis decreased the ability that God has placed inside of us which has caused us to decreased God. Therefore when we go to open up our mouths, we're giving people a limited god because we're giving the people giving the people a limited so hard to basha. Did you all feel that I felt that thing. Whoa God, no player. I played too. Okay, I'm gonna be serious or not then the Sando. Okay, now we're serious, allow yourself, why am I whispering, allow yourself to be wrapped in what he has called created and designed you to be y'all as I said, this is your 22 Yo year 22 I'm not saying that I have been uh faithful those 22 years but I have learned so much and I have served in many different capacities and I have to say this, I have to say this.

I have to say this. I have to say this. I have to say this. I have to say this. I do the same dance because I can't ask. I can't ask a little bit, but I can't ask. Yeah, whatever. But I have to say this. Okay, I've been in ministry for 22 years but ministry has not been real to me, But for about what, 10 years. But then it got really, really, really, really, really real about two years ago. But now it's really, really, really, really, really, really, really real in the sense of I am finally at a space where I'm comfortable doing ministry the way God gave it to me. I know something you gotta do it the way God told you to do it. I'm not playing with you. You can't do it no other way. But yet we still conform and do it other ways because what the way that he gives it to us many times. This doesn't make sense. We don't have blueprints for it sometimes because he calls us to what blaze them trails baby. You can't be a trend setter.

You can't be a Trailblazer attempting to re create a product that worked before. That product may have worked before. But that doesn't mean that it's going to work for what is called and designed you to do. What do I always talk with my hands. Okay, so let's go here. Alright. I'm not gonna hold you long. No, we're just celebrating your 22 years, y'all? 22 years, man. 22 years. And I it took me some years to really take my ministry serious. It took me some years to take it serious and see the value that many other people saw and and I had a hard time what people telling me how they enjoyed the ministry waning going there anywhere. I just want to look at this year so far. Okay, And then we're gonna look ahead a little bit and then I'm gonna be out your way. We started off this year in january as Spirit Week. Now for those who do not know what spirit Week is. I belong to a faith based community.

We are actually in partnership and covenant with a face faith based community called the Reform. Okay, it's called the reform and we have what's called BFF sessions. This is a branch of the BFF sessions. Okay, so if you ever wonder what this is, this is a branch of the BFF sessions and from this, there will be more branches. Hey, hey, yeah, there will be more branches that will branch off of T T. C. All right, Which is the transformation center. All right, so this is a branch of the BFF sessions. Okay, so anyway, Spirit Week, I don't know why I felt led to just give you guys all of that because I don't understand why I just did that, but I did and I believe it blessed you. All right. So um yeah january. We started with Spirit Week and I encourage you to go to www dot the reform dot com to check out Spirit Week.

And I think the direct link is www dot the reform dot com forward slash spirit week and we were just took a whole week to a spiritual development and then like oh man, it was just beautiful. I enjoyed, enjoyed, enjoyed it. So we did not meet, we did not gather as the transformation center uh for the month of january. Then in february we talked about the subject of framework framework framework and we begin to tear down some things and rethink some things and re prioritize some things and let some things go and go back and get some things. We begin to deal with our framework and we begin to understand that some of the framework that we had just did not serve us, we don't own it, it's not ours. So we had to let it go. Then we have to realize that some of the framework that is ours was in conflict with frameworks, that framework that was not ours. Do I look crooked? I don't know, I gotta stop trying to look at me and look at the camera.

Okay. Anyway, so we begin to really deal with framework and this was probably one of the most controversial uh purpose empowerment sessions that we had because I did a session called Funk Framework. So I know that kind of really set some people uh off, but I know it says some people through, they set some people free because the acronym baby, we apply that to our lives, could calamari. So framework set the stage, uh huh for freedom. The discussion on freedom, the discussion on freedom. And let me tell you something that Michael Weston is a whole problem, okay, he's a whole problem. And we talked about freedom and he brought freedom and presented freedom to us in a way that we may not have ever imagined that before it before, but it reminded us that we were free and I'm grateful for that.

Now. Next month we have a gentleman from Atlanta Georgia. He is a friend, a brother. And you know, I don't lose that, I don't use that word brother loosely. He is a brother. He is one of the great teachers that I know he is a teacher that I listened to and transitional moments of my life. I've watched him evolve. Um I've watched him come to some understanding personally and as a uh concept with ministry and everything as well. What am I doing this for? Y'all you ever watched some of the hand gestures that I make and I told some of you probably think what is he doing? Oh, I'm steering up the gift out out of the top, don't stop yo something is wrong with me. Okay, So he's gonna be here next month, on I want to say the 11th and the 25th if that's not correct, I will put the correct corrected information on the screen.

He's gonna talk about the power of being present, how important it is for us to be present, because there's no need for us to deal with our framework, it's no need for us to understand that we're free and now walk it out, walk out in their freedom. Like we're running we're running our freedom. Um I'm running for my life, I'm running for my life. Okay, now, come on, Clap your doing a bunch of singing, let's go. So we're walking in our free walking, like we're talking like we're talking Yeah, I really went from there to there anyway, there's no need for us to deal with framework walking our freedom if we're not going to be present. So he's gonna come and he's gonna deal with that then the month of april I know it's women. Is that april no, may we have antoine april May God, as we have the Elliott Carlisle, the brand, The Voice.

You've heard me talk about him, you know, especially if you listen to um transformation radio or or what now podcast because there will be no podcast, there would be no um transformation radio if it had not been for this man reminding me that not just that I had a voice but I was a voice. Okay? So he's gonna come and he's gonna talk about the voice. The voice. Because after all the other stuff that we've talked about, I want to make sure that we understand that we are voices and the power of the voices that we have and make sure that we're exercising our voices in the right way. And then I'm going to come back. I think I'm pretty good. I don't know. I mean, I heard some good things about me but child I heard some negative stuff about me to guess what? I started some of this good stuff and I started some of the negative stuff about myself. But anyway, I'm gonna come back in june and we are going to revisit the vision.

We're going to talk about the mission. What is it? I wrote it down. So I don't forget we're gonna talk about the message. The ministry. No child listening. I'll try to slow down cliff. We're gonna talk about the message. Mm hmm. Mq. But that's what's gonna be called Mq. I gotta come up with some creative stuff like these millennials be coming up with your millennials, reach out to me help me out because I gotta come up with some creative stuff. They'd be like, oh man, that's fine. All right. So we got m cubed. We have the message. The mission and the mandate. But we're gonna be talking about vision and then looking a little further in december. we're gonna be doing the retreat Okay the transform you retreat. So I want us to govern ourselves according I'll be releasing the dates of the retreat soon as well as well as the location, still deciding on the location, but we will be uh offering an in person retreat to a selective number of individuals and then it will be available virtually as well.

But I just want you all just to get ready um to understand that this is not something that I'm just doing just to do understand that the people that I have coming in, I understand their expertise in multiple areas, I understand their ability to hear the creator, I understand understand their ability to flow with spirit. So I may be giving you topics they're gonna talk about but when they open up their mouth there may be a shift in the topic and I want you to be comfortable with that ship because soon we're going to begin to open up opportunities for those who listen on a regular basis. So if you listen and I have not done this yet, if you listen consistently and you are interested in the any spiritual development component, I'll say it like that. A spiritual development component reach out to me. If you need to have a conversation about anything that you have going on in your life, reach out to me.

Do not hesitate. Alright, I love each and every one of you, thank you for watching this special presentation. Thank you for celebrating 22 years of ministry with me man. Listen you're out there as I said earlier. Your ministry doesn't look like everybody else's good. Doeses't sound like everybody else is good. You haven't identified as it as a ministry. Good good good good. Do what he's called and designed you to do do what he's called and designed you to do do what he's called and designed you to do do what he's called and designed you to do do what he's called and designed you to do. We're waiting for you as I always say create a great thing. Walk with purpose and by all means execute your vision. Yeah. Yeah fit for sport, fit for life.
