Welcome to our first episode of Monday Mindset podcast, your weekly dose of positivity and insight. And this week we are going to be discussing a quick mindset shift that can help you on your entrepreneurial journey.

We all know that running a business is no easy feat and as such, it is important to have the right mindset and outlook on life. In order to find your success, women business owners in particular face unique challenges and roadblocks in their pursuit. But by applying a few simple mindset shifts, you can develop the resilience and remain empowered throughout your journey. One way that women business owners or anyone who is pursuing a goal can shift their mindset is to focus on the process rather than the outcome. So often, we become so focused on reaching a certain level in our business or achieving a particular goal without fully appreciating the progress that we're making along the way. While it's important to set goals for ourselves and measure our success against them. It's equally, is essential not to get overwhelmed with results oriented thinking and instead take each day as an opportunity for personal growth and development.

One of the ways that you can do this is to sit down and reflect at the end of the day or at the end of the week of the things that you've accomplished, don't focus on hitting that end goal, but focus on where you started and how far you've come throughout the week. I was recently having a conversation with a friend of mine and she was really struggling with one of her goals because one of her markers that she's using to judge her success is not showing progress. And we all know what that feels like when you just feel like you're doing all of the things right? But you're not moving forward. So, what we had to do was we had to take a step back and we had to really dive deep into what are the outcomes that she is seeing if that one factor isn't showing progress, is she seeing progress in other areas related to the school and she is.

And so we get so focused on that end resolved, but we forget about the journey that we're on and the pieces that we need to put into place to get to the end result. So being present, being mindful of where you're at in your journey, reflecting on where you've been, what's working, what's not working at the end of the week, making adjustments and continuing to put one ft in front of the other is one way that you can shift your mindset around your goals. So often we get lost in those thoughts or those ideas that something's not happening fast enough or we're not reaching the goals in the timeline that we thought we should reach them in. That's frustrating. It causes us to become stuck. And so we have to train our brains to think of things in a different light in a different way and celebrating those small winds, reflecting on them.

That is how you're gonna do it. So I want you to right now just stop, take a minute and think of the goal that you're trying to reach whether it's in your business or your personal life or a goal that you have for your family. Just take a minute, stop and think about it. Ask yourself, is this goal? Micro enough? I have a whole episode on Micro Goals. If you haven't listened to it, head on over and check it out because micro goals I'm convinced is, is the way to success. So go ahead and check that out. I'll link it in the show notes, but I want you to look at your big goal and now I want you to break it down into five smaller goals. Set five little micro goals that are gonna get you closer to that big goal and then focus on one of them this week. Just one of them focus on one goal until you reach it, then move on to the next, it's gonna compound on itself. It's gonna teach your brain that these little winds are important and it's going to keep you wanting to come back for more.

So focus on the process and not just the outcome. And you will be amazed at all of the happiness and successful feelings that you feel towards your goal after you've done this. So I hope you found this to be in an enlightening little nugget of an episode. And I just want to remind you to stay positive and keep working hard because anything is possible when you believe in yourself and I'm telling you right now, I believe in you. So come back on Thursday, we're gonna be having another full length episode and we're going to be diving into my top tips for how to achieve your goals. So until then I'm gonna be here cheering you on.
